“The greatness of community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members.” — Coretta Scott King
Wow! What a Winter! Those who want snow – see too much grass, and those of us who prefer to fly to snow seem to see way too much in our backyards. With snow here yet again, it is hard to believe March is upon us.
2026 Winter brought more than snow too!

Olympians remind us how important teams or communities are to success. Beyond the phenomenal play of both the men’s and women’s hockey teams, all the athletes reminded us of the teams behind their success. Kudos to all the Olympians who competed. They inspire beyond the games.
Our team has its own strength Our leadership and faculty are committed to bring you, our members, our best and to help you in your practice. But bigger than that is the AAOA community. Each of you brings your expertise and wisdom to share. The most frequent comment on our Annual Meeting evaluations ties to the value of the AAOA community, our culture, and how everyone learns from each other. Thank you! This type of shared community is dependent on each of your engagement, and we are grateful for what you each bring to our organization.
As we look forward, we encourage more engagement and feedback. We are looking to expand our resources with more podcasts and digital content to complement our hybrid CME programming. What would you find valuable? What are your needs? What could you contribute? Our Call for Proposals is open for Annual 2026. What would make that a not to be missed event for you? Is there something you would like to teach or present? What about beyond Annual? Any practice tools, resources, or successes to share? Any case-based learning you would like us to bring to the table? What are your biggest conundrums? Please share your ideas at meetings@aaoallergy.org.
