Resident Travel Scholarships
In an effort to further resident education, the AAOA offers Resident Travel Scholarships for the Basic and Advanced Courses.
Designed to assist residents with travel and accommodation costs, travel scholarships are given to those residents who have applied for a scholarship and are an AAOA Member as of the application deadline.
Because the AAOA’s goal is to assist as many residents as possible while still awarding a considerable amount, we will not know exactly how much assistance will be awarded until after the registration deadline. However, scholarships can range between $150 and $850, payable to the resident’s training program.
In order to apply for a Resident Travel Grant, you must currently be an AAOA Resident member in good standing or submit a completed application form with your grant application. Resident presenters, including podium and poster presenters, are also eligible for the Annual Meeting Travel Scholarships.
